Your Good Efforts + Intentions Could Be Hurting You.

The number one most essential thing to keep in mind when sharing food photos on Instagram (or your website, blog, or any social media, but especially Instagram) - people follow Instagram feeds to see good photos. That's the whole point! People love to get inspired... and it's all about the visuals.

So... regardless of how delicious your recipe is, if the photo you post looks like a yellow mushy blob and no-one can tell what it is... You may be prompting the opposite reaction from what you're hoping.

Ugly food just isn't appetizing... and no-one wants to see that!

This is something to seriously think about. If you're posting repulsive food photos, your positive intentions and efforts in getting active on social media may actually be hurting your business and wasting your time.

You Don't Need Pro Photos All The Time.

Of course, there is a ton of value in using professional stock photography to represent your business, and having easy access to a big portfolio helps to make your life a breeze... but who are we fooling... you're not going to use pro photos 100% of the time...  sometimes you just want to post a picture of that amazing smoothie you just made... or share a pic along with the recipe for your favorite GF pumpkin pancakes (BTW, my all-time favorite pumpkin pancake recipe is by Dr. Axe... you can find it HERE).

I highly recommend sharing photos of your personal day-to-day world (followers love to see that stuff and feel like they know you)... but keep in mind, the picture of your food might not look as good as it tastes.

Don't Blame Your Camera.

It doesn't matter what type of camera you're using... a fancy SLR or a simple camera phone, your food photos can look better, and these five simple DIY tricks will help you turn your snapshots into post-worthy material.

If you've already watched our video: This Simple Proven Trick Will Instantly Transform Your Food Photos, then you already know my number one top secret to transform your imagery with one simple step. (If you haven't watched it, I recommend you do so real quick as a prequel to this one)... Here, I'm going to add more tips with a step-by-step approach to setting up your food imagery for success.

Watch me create follow-worthy food imagery using my iPhone + 5 easy tips...  right here, right now...

Thank you! It's a very nice video with very clearly delivered message. Super easy to follow and use after 🙂
For my Instagram and Facebook page I use mainly pictures taken by Iphone. Most of the times I make colourful pictures of food. Maybe you could share what colours work together or to make pictures look juicy, full of taste and delicious?! Thanks again 🙂
